Cátia Guimarães (natural de Angra do Heroísmo - ilha Terceira) é licenciada em Pintura-Artes-Plásticas
pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa e tem formação como
Arte-Psicoterapeuta pela Sociedade Portuguesa de Arte-Terapia. Tem realizado
diversas exposições, individuais e coletivas. Em 2008 foi distinguida com o 1º
prémio de Artes-Plásticas no concurso LabJovem, tenho ganho uma bolsa e
frequentado a residência de Verão
“Painting and Mixed Media” na School of Visual Arts em Nova Iorque. No ano de
2012 foi-lhe atribuída a bolsa Restart como 2º prémio do mesmo concurso.
Cátia Guimarães has a degree in Painting, School of
Fine Arts, University of Lisbon and the course of Art Psychoterapist from the
Art-Therapy Portuguese Society. She has participated in several exhibitions,
individual and collective. In 2008 she won the 1st prize in the
contest LabJovem, having attended the summer residence “Painting and Mixed
Media” in School of Visual Arts of New York. In 2012 she won the 2nd
prize in the same art contest and gain a scholarship in Restart Art School.
